This sign-off was spoken live during KXJB-TV's 10pm newscast (delayed due to CBS Sports coverage of NFL football) by KX4 anchorwoman Krista Boehm:
Boehm: "After 60 years, it's now time to say goodbye to the old KXJB signal. Even though the old KXJB signal is gone, KX4 is still there with great local and CBS programming. All you need to do to continue watching is simply re-scan your TV. If you watch KX4 on cable or through a satellite provider, you're already set and don't need to do anything. Let's go to our chief engineer Ron Barr, who will now turn off the KXJB-TV transmitter."
