This brings to a close another day of broadcasting by WCET, America's first licensed public television station. Owned and operated as a non-commercial community service by the Greater Cincinnati Television Educational Foundation, WCET is an equal opportunity employer, with studios in the Crosby Telecommunications Center at 1223 Central Parkway, and transmitter located at 2222 Chickasaw Street in Cincinnati, Ohio. WCET telecasts on ultra-high-frequency channel 48, with studio-to-transmitter link WDY-70, and a maximum radiated visual power of 2.3 megawatts, by the authority of the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, DC. TV-48 is affiliated with the Public Broadcasting Service and receives its programs via the Westar 1 satellite. WCET also belongs to the Ohio Educational Broadcasting Network, which links all Ohio public television stations for the finest in statewide programming.
