WCHS-TV Channel 8, Huntington/Charleston, now concludes broadcasting activities for the day. WCHS-TV is owned and operated by WCHS-TV, Incorporated, and operates on VHF channel 8, 180 to 186 megahertz, with an effective radiated power of 316,000 watts visual, and 31,600 watts aural, as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission. Our studios are located at 1301 Piedmont Road in Charleston, with transmitting facilities atop Coal Mountain near Scott Depot, West Virginia. Studio-to-transmitter link KQI-48 operates on a frequency of 7000 to 7025 megahertz. WCHS-TV is an affiliate of the ABC television network, and is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters. Portions of today's programming were pre-recorded.
